There are few cities in the C.S.R.A. that have the pickleball infrastructure that Aiken, S.C. has. We have 14 free public outdoor courts at the Virginia Acres Park, 5 free public outdoor courts at Eustis Park, 6 indoor courts at the Odell Weeks Recreation Center, 3 indoor courts at the Smith-Hazel Rec Center, 6 indoor courts at Gregg Park Civic Center, and a number of private pickleball facilities in the area. That's a whole lotta places to play!

We even have not one, but TWO nonprofit organizations here in Aiken focused on promoting pickleball. Our Southern Pickleball Academy focuses on supporting pickleball in our schools and communities with special emphasis on our youth through our First Paddle program, and Aiken Pickleball, Inc. works with the City PRT and Gregg Park to manage pickleball play on those courts. As they say, "It takes two to tango," or in this case, to provide opportunities to grow this perfect sport of pickleball!
