Join us for the Southern Spring Classic Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, April 27, 2024. (Rain Date: April 28th) Hosted by the Southern Pickleball Academy at Houndslake Country Club’s NET outdoor pickleball facility in Aiken, SC, this Round Robin tournament welcomes players aged 13 and above. There will be two skill divisions: 3.0-3.49 and 3.5-3.99 categories. The Classic has a limited entry of 48 teams, with 24 teams in each skill division, so be sure to secure your spot early.

Information

All round-robin matches will be one (1) game to eleven (11) points, winning by two (2) points with a next-point tie-breaker at 14.  All medal-round matches are one (1) game to fifteen (15) points, winning by two (2) points. Medal-round matches will be officiated; tournament play will follow the 2024 USAP rule book.

 

Each division will be divided into 4 subdivisions. The winners of each subdivision will be seeded into a double-elimination medal round (1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3). The winners of each semi-final match then play for the gold medal, and the losers play for the bronze.

 

All players MUST register with an indicated partner BY NAME. The Southern Pickleball Academy is not responsible for ensuring every player has a partner.

 

REFUND POLICY

A full refund minus the Pickleball Bracket fee is allowed for cancellations before Monday, April 14. There will be no refunds for cancellations within the two weeks before the tournament. However, substitute players may replace a canceled player without an additional registration fee. Registration for the substitute player is the responsibility of the player who canceled; there may be an additional $5 fee from Pickleball Brackets. The Southern Pickleball Academy does not take responsibility for replacing players who cancel.
