THE E.A. POWELL PICKLEBALL SCHOLARSHIP
The Southern Pickleball Academy's mission is to promote "Healthy Youth and Communities Through Pickleball." To that end, we want to recognize our high school graduates who have taken an active role in promoting and expanding pickleball opportunities among their peers and in their community through their participation, leadership, and initiative. Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to qualifying students who have been accepted to any post-secondary educational organization, including but not limited to vocational school, trade school, or college.
To qualify for this scholarship, students must be on track to graduate from any Aiken, Edgefield, Richmond, or Columbia County high school (public, private, or home school) in the Spring of 2027. Applicants will be judged on their participation, leadership, and initiative in growing the sport of pickleball among their peers. Applicants must show the following character traits both on and off the court: integrity, honesty, fair play, respect, and sportsmanship.
To be considered for this scholarship, an online application, including three file uploads, must be submitted by March 26, 2027. Click here to view the application and additional qualifications. Your questions may be sent to the Scholarship Committee at scholarship@southernpickleballacademy.org.
