Great News for Pickleball Families: Parent-Managed Minor Accounts Now Available!

We're excited to share that Pickleball.com has responded to community feedback by introducing a parent-managed account system for young players. This new feature addresses the concerns many families have raised about children needing their own independent accounts. Thankfully, they heard us and responded with minor sub-accounts.

What's New: Pickleball.com now allows parents and guardians to create and fully manage accounts for children under 17. This keeps families in control while giving young players access to tournaments, lessons, and skill ratings.

• All registrations, consent forms, and ratings are managed in one central location

• Built-in safety protections with required parental consent for media releases

• Integration with DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) system for competitive play

How It Works: The process is straightforward: parents create the minor account through a dedicated signup flow, authenticate as the guardian, handle all consent forms, and then manage everything through their "Accounts I Manage" dashboard. The child gets their own email verification and profile, but parents retain full administrative control.

Looking Ahead: This is Phase One of Pickleball.com's rollout. Future updates will include options to transfer accounts to club managers and consolidate existing minor accounts under guardian profiles, making youth program management even easier.
